Look an update! of sorts.

Still alive. Been busy this week. Mostly re-adjusting my sleep schedule to be awake this past Thursday, which was a long one. DLH came over to use our scanner, and stuff went wrong, and more stuff happened.

Daylight makes me sleepy. If not sleepy, at least drowsy or tired. I can't wait to be back on my new normal schedule.

Been busy also with dd_icontest on livejournal. I've been running the show for a bit over there. running icontests takes a bit more mind power than I'd have guessed. But that may be for me because all my caps are on a cd.

My poor dog is going through his allergies right now too. Lots of energy going into trying to keep him from eating all the fur on his butt off.

Now off to read some fanfic to stay awake long enough to make it for posting voting for dd_icontest.

RL needs a chill pill.

I love my new icon. It comes from the first season of Who, "The Daleks". We have Rusty the Shipper Dalek, and now Sterling the Butler Dalek. :D

I've been mostly quiet lately. I think most of that's to do with how tired I've been lately. Lots of things kicking my ass the past few weeks.

First, we had the monthlies. The severity of mine vary month to month, and usually the worst of it is the first day. This month, however, decided at the last minute on the first day to kick into super high gear. And then last the rest of it. That first night, I took my temperature, and I was running a fever of 97.5*F I wasn't sure if I was feeling hot or cold either, but then, my mind was on the extreme pain issuing out from about a few inches below my navel.

Second, the greyhound got injured. Thursday I let her out, then heard her yelp. None of us noticed the large wound on her neck until Friday night. A trip to the vet and a few days later, she's doing fine. But I'm still extremely nervous about it all. It looks like she caught an animal and it fought back. So, while the actual wound is scabbed over for the most part (I let her out, then came in for one minute to grab a hoodie before heading out with her and she'd had gotten the scab to open up again.) But for now, all I can do is keep my brother's dog from licking it and keep giving her the antibiotics. I think most of my anxiety over it is she still can't wear her collar and it's making me nervous.

And I've been bored. I think that might play a bit into how tired I've been lately too. I have plenty of things I should be doing, but none I feel inspired to do. I could start working on adapting the adipose pattern to be a snowy owl. But I've got to finish the hand warmers I started, and I have a very painful hangnail/short nail on my left index finger, so crocheting is painful in the sense that it's just irritated and not really pain, just annoying.

And why is it, whenever I go to fill out the 'music' section below, the music player switches it to something dorky???

Nothing much.

It was lovely today. I took Jake, my brother's dog, to the beach (the beach on Lake Erie). Took some pictures. It was quite fun. :D
