Newfoundlands are known as protector dogs. My Newfador is very protective of me...sometimes. Last night though, he decided to protect something else:

Around here, Christmas happens around five am, so I can go to bed by seven. To make up for waking Mum up that early, I make the family breakfast. So, at five am, I had the coffee going, the dogs were out, and bacon in the pan. The dogs started barking, and I was yelling at them, and the bacon burned and set off the smoke detector. After removing the bacon and putting on the batch, I ran about opening windows and doors and turning on the dining room fan. Surprisingly, neither Mum nor Blar woke up. The rest of breakfast had went smoothly. Bacon, eggs, toast, fudge, coffee for mum, my last packet of hot chocolate for Blar.
Then came the presents. Funniest moment was the last present when moodog decided that it smelled yummy and started to nibble on the corner before I could slide it across the floor to my brother.
( pressies )All in all, it was an okay day.
