Still alive. Been busy this week. Mostly re-adjusting my sleep schedule to be awake this past Thursday, which was a long one. DLH came over to use our scanner, and stuff went wrong, and more stuff happened.

Daylight makes me sleepy. If not sleepy, at least drowsy or tired. I can't wait to be back on my new normal schedule.

Been busy also with dd_icontest on livejournal. I've been running the show for a bit over there. running icontests takes a bit more mind power than I'd have guessed. But that may be for me because all my caps are on a cd.

My poor dog is going through his allergies right now too. Lots of energy going into trying to keep him from eating all the fur on his butt off.

Now off to read some fanfic to stay awake long enough to make it for posting voting for dd_icontest.

I hate my little brother. (16 and more hormonal than me on one of his "good" days)

Weekends = no school. Long weekends even more so.

therefore,

I hate long weekends.

My sanity shall return temporarily starting on Tuesday, I shall be able to staple it in place for (mostly) the next nine months after Labor day. Hurray for the start of School, and my five days of ALONE TIME.

your sibling is watching the South Park episode where there's terrorists in our imagination, and there's a random army guy wearing a red beret, and your first thought is 'UNIT? In South Park?' followed by "British Army in the pentagon?"

Er, nothing really going on. I've spent two weekends at my friend's house this past month, and we saw Harry Potter 6. I think it's one of my top three. I think my favorites are in order:

Been iconing and crocheting mostly. At the moment, I am 20 screencaps away from finishing Journey's End. And with it, a year's worth of iconing. Am going to take a break from non-icontest iconing for awhile. Especially since the last I checked the icon number to fix a file name, I had 350 icons, so it's going to be at least a double post for JE.

Mum asked me what I wanted for my birthday this year. Luckily, I had priced my list out last night, so I printed it out and gave it to her.

That's it.

I had the thought today that I'm like a 22 year old housewife, only my 'child' is my 50-something Mum, who then cares for my brother 'cause I refuse to care for him.

Mum's the one that works, and I cook dinner and make sure her alarm is on, and make sure her room is a comfortable temperature and she gets to go to bed early enough that she gets enough sleep.

Today I got a postcard from some friends vacationing across Europe. They're currently in Cardiff and got to go to the Doctor Who exhibit & even saw some filming done for one of the remaining specials! They said they saw someone in particular in the street that night, and now I'm quite excited for that episode.

Hmm. Not much going on around here lately. I've been trying to get myself into a schedule I like. And work on some WIPs I have about on the computer, as well as icons.


I've been very bored as well. Bored enough to read some fic on fanfiction.net. You can really find the scariest fic there. I found one that's Twilight/Winnie The Pooh. I suspect it was a troll, but it was so wrong ("He was glistening with innuendo and syphilis." < actual quote!) it was slightly amusing.

I am so craving that Midnight Truffle blizzard from Dairy Queen. It looks soooo good!
